In the second game of their western Canadian road trip, the Bruins will look to come out on top tonight against a young and talented Flames team. The Bruins will have to look to bring a bit of grit into this one, as they don’t have quite the speed that the Flames do. For a Flames team that had such a successful season last year, this year has not been so kind. Many felt the Flames over achieved last year, and if a sophomore slump is a real, Calgary is experiencing a bit of that this season. After years of laying low in the bottom of the NHL the Flames have been able to light up opponents with their new young players. Goudreau, Bennett, and Monahan have brought some new life to the organization. The Flames defensive core is as solid as it gets, big contributions from their Captain Mark Giordano, Dennis Wideman, and newly acquired former Bruin Dougie Hamilton have made the Flames a very good team. It will be up to the Bruins to maintain their style of hockey tonight if they want a win. The Flames may present a challenge for the Bruins tonight, but one thing is for certain, there is no way they can play as bad as they did against the Oilers on Wednesday.
